"Mountains in Washington"

 I decided on this painting as I was driving down the road, knowing I could not let my artistic block get the best of me. No, I do not live in Washington, but I wanted a little more inspiration than just the everyday mountains I see cruising down the roads of Virginia. My favorite type of painting to paint would most definitely be landscapes. More importantly, the sky because you can add so many different colors and values to them. What I really love about my painting is that the clouds are original and I really made them my own, almost in an abstract type of way. My painting also includes more values than I have ever included in a painting of my own. Though, a reflection is a more difficult type of painting, this has to be my best work in my opinion.
