"Vana"
I decided on this painting because my dog, Vana, is my best friend. She always reminds me how happy life can be and the fact she has an under bite is even cuter.I think that Vana's face has many values. From reds, tans, and browns, to pink and gray. The back ground is probably my favorite because it reminds me of clouds and how fluffy they are. It is a blanket that shit laying on that I used in preschool. My favorite part about this painting is her eyes and how alive they actually look.
"Buildings of Chicago" I decided to do this abstract painting to remind myself of my Chicago trip that I went on in September of 2018. I always thought that the buildings in Chicago were unique because they are so antique and aged. Even though this is my first watercolor, I believe that I did the best that I could. My favorite part about this painting is the larger gray/blue that has the most detail. The tint in the windows really have a cartoon effect to them as well. I also believe on the red building to the left I used a good contrast between the red orange and blue. I'm glad that I painted this painting because it keeps hold of the memories from my trip with my family.
